Your veil has been lovingly handcrafted using delicate bridal tulle and fine materials. To ensure it remains beautiful from the moment it arrives to your wedding day and beyond, we recommend following the care instructions below.
Upon Arrival
When your veil arrives, we recommend removing it from the packaging and hanging it as soon as possible. This allows any light creases from shipping to naturally relax over time.
For longer veil styles, hang the veil from a high point or gently drape it over a padded hanger to avoid unnecessary folding or pressure on the fabric.
As our veils are made from soft nylon tulle, they are delicate by nature and should always be handled with care.
Removing Creases
Most light creasing will soften naturally once the veil is hanging. If additional steaming is required, a garment steamer may be used carefully.
Please follow these recommendations:
- Hold the steamer approximately 10–15 cm away from the veil
- Steam gently and slowly
- Regularly check the fabric while steaming
- Avoid excessive heat or prolonged steaming in one area
Alternatively, a cool iron may be used with a clean white cloth or sheet placed between the iron and the veil.
Please note that heavily pressed or deeply wrinkled tulle can be more difficult to restore completely, particularly because bridal tulle is made from nylon fibres. For this reason, we recommend avoiding unnecessary folding or compression wherever possible.
Travelling With Your Veil
For brides travelling for destination weddings, we highly recommend transporting your veil carefully to minimise creasing during travel.
Rather than placing the veil directly into a tightly packed suitcase, we suggest:
- Storing the veil loosely inside a large box or garment box
- Avoiding heavy items being placed on top of the veil
- Keeping embellishments protected from pressure or friction
- Hanging the veil immediately upon arrival at your destination
If the veil becomes excessively compressed during travel, deeper wrinkles may form which can be more difficult to remove safely due to the delicate nature of nylon tulle.
Taking a little extra care while packing can make a significant difference in preserving the softness and appearance of your veil.
After the Wedding
After your wedding day, your veil may collect makeup, dust, marks from the floor, or general wear from the celebration.
We recommend taking your veil to a professional dry cleaner experienced in handling delicate bridal fabrics and embellishments.
Please do not machine wash your veil or attempt harsh spot cleaning, as this may damage the tulle, stitching, or embellishments.
Important Safety & Care Notes
- Avoid stepping on the veil, as this may cause tearing, pulling, or create a slipping hazard
- Embellished veils featuring pearls, crystals, sequins, or beads may contain small parts
- Keep away from children and pets
- Store your veil in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture
Our veils are attached to a metal comb for secure placement. To preserve the quality and finish of the comb, we recommend keeping it away from moisture where possible, as prolonged exposure to water may cause rusting over time.
If the comb becomes damp, gently pat dry and allow it to air dry completely before storing.
Preserving Your Veil After the Wedding
Many brides choose to keep their veil as a treasured heirloom piece to pass down or simply to preserve as part of their wedding memories. With the right care and storage, your veil can remain beautiful for many years to come.
Before storing your veil long-term, we recommend having it professionally dry cleaned by a specialist experienced with delicate bridal fabrics and embellishments. This helps remove any makeup, dust, oils, or marks collected throughout the day, which can otherwise settle into the fabric over time.
Once cleaned, your veil should be stored carefully to help maintain its softness and shape.
We recommend:
- Placing the veil loosely inside a keepsake box or acid-free storage box
- Avoiding tight folding or compressing the tulle for extended periods
- Using acid-free tissue paper between folds to minimise creasing
- Keeping the veil away from direct sunlight, humidity, and moisture
- Storing the veil in a cool, dry area with stable temperature conditions
- Ensuring the metal comb remains dry to help prevent rusting over time
Avoid storing your veil in plastic bags or airtight containers for long periods, as trapped moisture can affect delicate fabrics and embellishments.
If your veil includes pearls, crystals, lace, or hand embellishments, extra care should be taken to avoid pressure or friction against these details while in storage.
From time to time, you may wish to gently unfold and air the veil to help preserve the fabric’s natural softness and drape.
With thoughtful care and storage, your veil can remain a timeless keepsake for years to come.
